Buzz Lightyear crouched behind the moon rock. The enemy he faced was far greater a threat than he ever had faced. Not Warp, not Gravatina, not even Zurg had ever given him this great a challenge.
No, this villain was from his own team!
"I don't understand! How could Ranger Nova suddenly turn evil?" He fumed. The blue faced royal was cackling evilly and shooting her laser like there was no tomorrow.
"Isn't it obvious? That's not Mira out there. The real Mira was kidnapped by a look alike who was planning to seize the Tangian throne and the Universe for herself. And she would have succeeded too, but the day the Tangians were attacked by Zurg, you and the Space Rangers came to the rescue. She saw that as long as you were around, she could never fulfill her evil plan, so she joined the Space Rangers, and planned to kill you as soon as the opportunity arose. I'd say she saw today as a good day to reveal herself." Ranger Jessie said. Buzz looked at her.
"How'd you know that?" He asked in amazement.
"I already told you. It's my fanfic. I know everything." She said nonchalantly.
"Oh. Well," He cleared his throat. "How do we defeat her?"
"Blast her with your laser, like you do all bad guys!"
"But Jessie," He protested weakly. "I can't blast Mira! No matter how evil she may have become, she's still a Ranger, and a member of my crew! No, I could never destroy her!"
Jessie rolled her eyes. "Jeez, Buzz! Haven't you been listening? She's not a real ranger, she just joined to destroy you! Besides, after she tried to blow a hole in Commander Nebula, I heard he gave her a dishonorable discharge!"
"WELL, WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR THEN?" Buzz hollered. "Let's kick some Tangian Butt!" He leapt over the rock and proceeded to battle the orange haired nemesis. Only a minute later, he retreated and dragged his beaten behind back to Jessie.
"I don't remember training her that well." He huffed.
"You always leap into things."
"Buzzy! Come out and play with me!" Mira sang.
Jessie jumped up. "Buzz doesn't feel like playing, but I'm here!" She shot Mira in-between the eyes with her laser. The Tangian's head exploded. "Yee-haw!" Jessie hollered. Buzz stood up next to her.
"How in the heck did you do that? I hit her with everything I got, and she still didn't even flinch."
"For the millionth time, it's my fanfic. I get to be the hero." Jessie explained patiently.
The real Buzz Lightyear finished reading. "You make me look like an idiot!" He exclaimed. Jessie, who was sitting next to him, snickered.
"Sorry, Hon."
"And Ranger Nova would not turn evil! I mean, she's a little obnoxious on the show, but she's not a villain!"
"It's my fic, and I say she's a menace to society."
"And one more thing." Buzz said. "You're a cowgirl! How did you end up being a Space Ranger?"
"Gosh, Buzz! It's just a fanfic! You make it sound so serious! Besides I really wanted to kick Mira's royal behind!" She shrugged and smiled. Buzz was still unamused.
"I'd expect this from Woody! I thought you liked my show!"
"I do, just not Mira." Jessie chuckled. "Don't get annoyed!"
"You trashed my show, made me look like a goon, and you expect me not to be annoyed!" Buzz rolled his eyes.
"Well, I'm sure the people at PK's site will like it." Jessie smiled.
"Don't tell me you already submitted it." Buzz groaned.
"Don't worry. They'll probably get a kick out of it!"
"Argh!"
"Aw, I'm sorry, Buzz." Jessie gave him a hug. "I got an idea! Let's go steal Woody's hat, crack an egg on his head and see if he gets mad enough to fry it!"
"I don't…" But Jessie was already pulling him towards the kitchen.
